After a burglary in the house where I lived during the summer, I decided to become my own thief, rummaging through my childhood home in search of memories; the loot, consisting of toys, drawings, photos, writings and various objects, was displayed in the apartment of a friend who was vacated for the occasion.

On December 3, 2019, I wrote to the iconoclastic artist Gianni Colosimo asking him to become my mentor; that same day, I set off on foot from Milan to reach his house in Turin, carrying in my backpack 200 kilometers of cotton thread to unroll along the way.

For days I have repeatedly written the word must on different media with the will to begin to free myself (ourselves, in Jean-Luc Nancy's notion of singular plural being) from that indoctrination of duty that pushes us into the emptiness of I must do this, I must think this, I must be this.

During poetic action no. 5, participants were asked to write in capital letters on a sheet of paper a thought they wanted to free themselves from, with the invitation to keep it in their wallet; On October 30, 2020, at Alberto Burri's Teatro Continuo in Milan, I read aloud the various thoughts that were given to me and burned them one after the other.
